This is a longer discussion on poverty reduction strategies with special regards to the needs of marginalized communities in policy formulation and programming. Development consultant Samia Khan gives a substantial explanation on the progress of development policies and the strategy to poverty reduction with regards to international institutions and national governments of developing countries. Sazzad Hussain (Odihkar) and Oswaldo Bilbao (CEDET) add their thoughts on the involvement of civil society in the PRSP planning processes with special regards to minorities and indigenous peoples. Tara Brace-John (One World Action) then talks about problems behind the categorization of countries by different donors and the variety of EU instruments which are attached to different regions.
