About the conference:

On the occasion of two New EU Member States holding the EU Presidency in 2011, followed by Cyprus in 2012 and Lithuania in 2013, MRG's conference aim was to provide opportunities for New EU Member States decision makers, experts and NGOs to exchange experiences about the EU Presidencies on the field of development cooperation and reflect on the new approaches and challenges in development policy and programming.

The conference shared examples of the Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) to development from old donor countries, new EU member states and the Global South.
